Irving Interfaith Clinic is the face of compassion providing one-on-one care to our friends and neighbors through a range of medical, dental, pharmacy, and educational health services. As the only charity medical and dental clinic in Irving we serve economically disadvantaged individuals including our working poor, uninsured, and under-served residents as we look towards the city that is to come and join with our partners, donors, and friends in building a healthier Irving one patient at a time.
Our vision is to represent God’s mercy by improving the overall healthcare of the marginalized residents of Irving through quality medical care and by preventing disease through education. We endeavor to serve each individual with love and patience, seeing God in each of them.
Irving Interfaith Clinic began in January of 2006. Staffed by volunteer physicians, dentists and nurses, the clinic saw 175 patients in the first year and has since grown to become a comprehensive medical home serving thousands each year..
The need for access to medical care within the community continues to grow. Currently, almost a third of the residents of Irving are without health insurance.
The clinic is now located in the Coppertree Medical Building, adjacent to Baylor Medical Center at Irving. Since the beginning, the Board of the Irving Interfaith Clinic prayed to find a way to keep the clinic open during the day, 40 hours a week. We are grateful to report that this prayer was answered in 2011 — we now have a full-time primary care provider in addition to our volunteer physicians and dentists.
